Power Rankings
There really isn’t much going on this week, football related. Tom Brady had surgery on Monday to repair his knee but no one is talking about that. Not a surprise there.
So, I came across a list of this week’s power rankings. It’s really not all that exciting but there really isn’t much to talk about.
The number one team, to no surprise, is the New York Giants (’all hail the New York Giants’, anyone know which movie?). They are 4-0 and look unstoppable.
The second team is the Washington Redskins. People thought they would be improved this year but the 4-1 start has surprised a lot of people. That plus the Eagles being 2-3.
The 5-0 Tennessee Titans are the third ranked team. They actually dropped a spot with a win.
The Cowboys, the third NFC East team, comes in at number 4. They are having a solid season. I guess the proof comes in the playoffs for these Cowboys.
Rounding out the top 5 is the Pittsburgh Steelers. They are very banged up but still manage to be 4-1. This is a team that could really use a bye week.
The bottom 5 teams all seem to be located in the middle portion of the country. I wonder if it’s just a coincidence. They are the Browns, Texans, Bengals, Lions and Rams.
I really don’t know what it all means but I guess it makes for conversation and it’s always a good time talking football.
