Another Head Coach Fired in the NFL
Yesterday saw another head coach get the ax. If you’re keeping score at home it’s 3 head coaches and 1 GM so far this season.
This week’s victim is San Francisco’s Mike Nolan. The 49ers got off to a 2-5 start this year. He will be replaced by Mike Singletary. You might remember Singletary as part of the 1985 Chigaco Bears championship team (remember the SuperBowl Shuffle?).
Singletary only started coaching in 2003 as a linebackers coach with the Ravens. He then went to San Francisco with Nolan as his assistant head coach and defensive coach. He spent the previous 10 years to that as a motivational speaker. Wouldn’t you like to hear his speech to his team before this week’s game? I would.
