Daunte Culpepper Making a Comeback

Published by kelley77 at 6:13 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Daunte Culpepper came out of retirement and signed with theĀ  winless Detroit Lions. I was surprised to read he was only 31 years old. I thought he was mid 30’s.

He practiced today with the Lions first team which indicates that he could possibly start on Sunday. He was a pretty good quarterback when he played for the Minnesota Vikings.

Then he had a knee injury and had 2 not so good seasons with Oakland and Miami. But, he’s in a great situation. The Lions are still winless. If he leads them to some victories, he’ll be like a superstar once again.

If he plays well and the Lions still don’t win, then they can blame the personnel around him. If he stinks it up and they continue to lose, he’ll probably go back into retirement.

At the very least, it’ll create some interest in the Lions game this week.

I remember him with the Vikings and he was good. Glad to hear he’ll be playing again.
